Cosmoledo’s atoll offers kilometres of flats where bonefish, trevally and other exotic species are plentiful. An absolutely exceptional situation capable, without the slightest doubt, of delivering its share of finger-busting action and lasting memories for the privileged ones entering this natural heaven. The period from October till May offers the best opportunities, weather-wise, for those willing to discover this exciting destination.

Cosmoledo is located at 560 miles south of Mahe. Accommodation is proposed aboard a former oceanographic research boat, big enough for 12 to 15 persons. Thanks to its size and to air conditioning, the boat offers good comfort. The journey to this atoll is longer than for Alphonse but the fishing quality and the size of the fish are worth it. Fly fishermen are dropped on the flats and then wade them in search of the many shoals of bonefish and trevally moving in and out with the tides. |
Bonefish generally weigh from 6 to 8 pounds and are being fished for on a floating line with specific patterns. Trevally can reach over 80 pounds and respond to surface or subsurface lures. Many other species, like permits, groupers and milkfish, can be found along the reef line and in the channels, providing exciting encounters for the beginner as well for the seasoned fly fisherman. Finally, only a few hundred metres offshore, you can enjoy excellent blue water fly fishing (with teasers) for wahoo, tuna and sailfish. |

Not included : Alcoholic beverages, meals and drinks in Mahe, tips, fishing equipment (flies,…), medivac insurance (compulsory), items of personal nature, activities on board (diving, …), handling fee. Day 1 (Wednesday : Departure from CDG 19h30. Air Seychelles HM007 Day 2 (Thursday): Arrival in Mahe at 07h15. Flight to Assumption around midday (+/- 3 hours) Arrival in Assumption in the afternoon. Fishing until dark. Journey to Cosmoledo after dinner; arrival in Cosmoledo the next morning. Days 3 to 8 (Friday to Wednesday): Organisation of 6 days of varied fishing on flats, reefs and aboard dinghies. Return journey to Assumption in the late evening of day 8 (Wednesday). Day 9 (Tuesday): arrival early in the morning in Assumption. Fishing until 1 or 2 PM and flight to Mahe. Transfer to your hotel,. Accommodation 1 night at Hotel Meridien Barbaron. Day 10 (Friday): flight to Paris on HM008 at 9h15. Arrival in Paris CDG at 17h15
